Jamie Dixon is an American college basketball coach. He is currently the head men's basketball coach at Texas Christian University (TCU).

  • Early Coaching Career: Dixon began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Los Angeles Valley College, UC Santa Barbara, and Northern Arizona University.

  • University of Pittsburgh (Pitt): He served as the head coach at the University of Pittsburgh from 2003 to 2016. He achieved significant success there, leading the Pitt Panthers to numerous NCAA Tournament appearances, including an Elite Eight appearance in 2009.

  • Return to TCU: In 2016, Dixon returned to his alma mater, TCU, to become their head coach. He has worked to revitalize the TCU Horned Frogs basketball program, leading them to NCAA Tournament appearances and success in the Big 12 Conference.

  • Playing Career: Before coaching, Dixon played basketball at TCU and was later drafted by the Washington Bullets (now Washington Wizards) in the 1987 NBA Draft. However, he did not play in the NBA.
